The Hub Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation based in Castlemaine, Central Victoria. In our own small way, we want to help tackle climate change at the local level. In the past we established the very successful bulk buy solar project MASH and have worked on campaigns to reduce waste in the region. We support activities such as the student climate protests, the Living Lightly wall at the Hub building and bike safety in the region.
Our current projects include:
- Cycling Without Age, “Cyclemania”, which aims to purchase electric tricycles to take elderly and/or disabled people out and about, pedal powered by volunteers.
- A network of community composting aptly named YIMBY – Yes! In My Back Yard.
