Construction on the last stage of the Fogartys Gap upgrade project recently commenced at Woodbrook Rd. It will extend to Leversha Rd (just before Calder Freeway) and will include 1.5 m sealed shoulders. Some initial work was completed just before Easter but further work has been delayed.
At a date to be determined, works will start at the cutting near Calder Freeway. There will be no access from Woodbrook Road through to the freeway for up to six weeks.
Traffic management will be in place and short-term road closures and detours will be required for some of the work. Electronic signage will advise of the timing of any closures. For further details see the Council website.
The ‘white bike’ memorial may be removed during the works but will be protected and put back in place.
